Ryan & Sydney City Engagement Shoot
We started out at the iconic Broadway Theatre for a few photos before embarking on a pleasant stroll to see what additional hidden gems we could uncover. Earlier in the afternoon, Ryan and Sydney had dropped by this quaint little bar where they struck up a conversation with the friendly bartender. During their chat, they shared details about their visit to town which led the bartender to graciously invite them to return for a photoshoot in the bar later on. So, on our way over to the bar, we stumbled upon a couple of other cool little spots that provided great photo opportunities before we excitedly made our way into the bar. What an amazing couple! Ryan and Sydney were referred to me by Ryan’s dad, who is a colleague of mine. Although they are originally from Regina, they traveled up to Saskatoon specifically to meet me and take some wonderful photographs in the city for the evening. They had mentioned earlier that shooting on Broadway was a fantastic idea, and their choice truly reflected their vibrant personalities, which made the session even more enjoyable.
One thing they really wanted to try and incorporate into the photoshoot was, believe it or not, delicious pizza! I thought this was an absolutely fantastic idea that added a unique touch. We truly had a lot of fun with this enjoyable part of the shoot, creating some memorable moments together.
After indulging in some delicious pizza fun, we decided to take a leisurely walk around the area for a bit. We made our way over to the Broadway Bridge, eager to capture a few stunning photos there. After snapping some great shots with the shimmering water and the picturesque city of Saskatoon in the background, we then decided to stroll down beside the bridge. Our goal was to try and capture a few enchanting “nature” photos, especially since it was fall—a season that is always breathtakingly beautiful in Saskatchewan.
Ryan and Sydney were so fun to work with and I am excited to also do their wedding next year!
