Raiders 24/25 Playoff Intro Video
This particular project turned out to be a genuinely enjoyable one to work on. Remarkably, it all unfolded at an incredibly rapid pace. One night, while I was comfortably laying in bed – an ideal place for contemplation – I suddenly thought to myself, “I want to create a captivating video. Perhaps I should capture some footage over the next few games and then piece it all together to see what the team thinks about my creative vision.” It was during the very next game that I found myself in the Raiders office, where I was shown a video that a team had produced as an intro several years ago. The person who showed it to me expressed, “I wish we could do something similar to this.” In that moment, I confidently replied, “Who says that we can’t?” From this exchange, an exciting idea was born.
I had already gathered some useful footage that would work for the concept, and from there it was just a matter of piecing everything together and determining what additional shots were needed to elevate the final product. Fortunately, I received invaluable assistance from the Raiders communication manager, Kyle, and the talented play-by-play voice, Nick, who graciously provided a couple of shots that I couldn't capture myself due to time constraints. Once everything was edited together, we collectively decided that it needed to be presented in black and white. I then experimented by adding a touch of grain to give it an old and gritty appearance, enhancing the overall mood of the piece. We had an incredible amount of fun during the entire process, and I think it ultimately turned out quite well!
